BOOK REVIEWS

We all have different interests, different likes and dislikes. Just as our personalities differ, so do our opinions.

Some us like to read romance, some fantasy, or science fiction, young adult, non-fiction, and so on. There are so many genres and so many different authors to enjoy.  Or not enjoy.

Personally, I love romance books. Both contemporary and historical.  I prefer stories where the authors add some suspense to the story line and I really enjoy some humor thrown in.  I also seem to gravitate toward stories with paranormal or supernatural aspects as well, although, I haven't gotten into the vampire craze.

You'll find all those things mixed in among my favorite authors.  I highly recommend them all.

So let's do some honest to God - everyday reader - book reviews, shall we?  But, don't be mean or ugly about it.  Tell me what you liked or loved.  If the author left you a little disappointed from their usual works, tell me that too.

I'd like to start with a review of my latest read. Julia Quinn's "What Happens in London"
As with all her books, I found it delightfully funny, heartwarming and romantic.  I do like the love/hate thing between the main characters on occasion, and Julia does it well.

Sandra Brown's "Envy" - I've recently read it for the second time - this time from the point of view of another writer. And I still love, love, love it! What awesome writing. No one can surprise a reader like Sandra does. In this book, Sandra gives you a main character that you don't even realize you're falling for until it's too late.
